Vehicle Interdiction (3-Day)
Duration: 3 Days
Course Description
This performance-based course prepares law enforcement and military personnel to plan, initiate, and manage high-risk vehicle interdictions across varying operational environments, threat levels, and mission requirements. Built from direct experience in Task Force operations, SWAT deployments, and fugitive apprehension, the program is designed to provide practical skills and repeatable methodologies that perform under stress.
Ideal for Task Force, SWAT, K9, narcotics, gang, and specialized enforcement personnel, this course bridges the gap between conventional patrol training and the realities of high-risk vehicle operations. Participants develop a structured approach to interdiction operations — from pre-mission planning and vehicle positioning to occupant control, communication, and post-contact management.
Instruction is led by a cadre with backgrounds in military special operations, federal task force operations, advanced investigations, and specialized law enforcement assignments. Instructors bring operational experience from high-threat domestic and international environments, providing students with practical methodologies grounded in real-world application.
Training Objectives
The primary objective of this course is to provide officers with a tactically sound and repeatable approach to vehicle interdiction operations that can be effectively executed under stress. Scenario-based exercises, force-on-force training, and structured debriefs are utilized throughout the program to reinforce decision-making, communication, team coordination, and occupant management.
A core emphasis of the course is helping agencies develop sustainable operational standards through practical training applications, consistent team methodologies, and structured performance evaluation. Mission Over Man also offers follow-on sustainment support, scenario facilitation, and operational critiques to assist agencies in maintaining proficiency beyond the initial course.
Course Topics Include:
Tactical Planning & Contingency Management
Intelligence-Driven Interdiction Operations
Vehicle Positioning & Containment Principles
Contact Team Movement & Occupant Management
Communication & Team Coordination
Decision-Making Under Stress
Offensive & Defensive Vehicle Considerations
Scenario-Based Training & Structured Debriefs
By the end of the course, participants will have a rehearsed operational framework and stress-tested decision-making foundation designed to improve coordination, safety, and overall effectiveness during high-risk vehicle interdiction operations.
